The Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi Regional Natural Park is the largest regional park in the Marche (10,000 hectares). It hosts two spectacular gorges, hermitages carved into the rock (San Vittore, Santa Maria infra Saxa with the neoclassical Valadier Temple), and the entire Frasassi karst complex. Habitat of golden eagles, wolves and eagle owls.
