    1. What we use

    Marcheggiando uses technical tools necessary for authentication, security, features requested by users and storing cookie preferences. Optional analytics tools are disabled by default and enabled only after consent.

    2. Necessary tools

    Technical information necessary for the website and account to function is used, together with a local preference named marcheggiando-cookie-consent to remember the user's choice. These tools are not used for advertising.

    3. Optional Analytics

    With your consent, Marcheggiando may use Google Analytics 4, if configured, to collect statistics on pages visited, traffic sources and site performance. Advertising and personalised advertising features are disabled.

    With the same consent, the site may record a page visit in the database, associated with a random visitor identifier and the browser user agent. The local identifier visitor_id is created only after analytics consent and removed when consent is withdrawn or refused.

    4. Marketing and profiling

    Marcheggiando currently does not use cookies or tools for advertising profiling and does not offer a marketing category that can be enabled in the preferences panel.

    5. Maps and External Services

    The maps use OpenStreetMap cartographic resources. Loading these resources may transmit technical information necessary for the connection, such as your IP address and user agent, to the relevant servers. These elements are not managed by the banner as Marcheggiando analytics tools when they are necessary to provide the map requested by the user.

    6. How to make or change your choice

    On your first visit, you can choose ‘Accept’, ‘Reject’ or ‘Customise’. Closing the banner using the X counts as rejection of optional tools. Optional categories are disabled by default.

    You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Your preference is stored locally for up to 180 days unless you change it sooner.
