    Terms and rules

    1. What Marcheggiando Is

Marcheggiando is an information portal and community dedicated to the Marche. It brings together editorial content, information about places and events, and tools enabling users, organisers and local businesses to suggest activities, share content and get in touch.

In its current configuration, Marcheggiando does not sell activities, collect payments or charge commissions. Where an activity has a price, that price is specified by the organiser and any payment takes place directly between the participant and the organiser.

    2. Relationships between users and organisers

Marcheggiando is not a party to any agreement between a participant and an organiser. The organiser is responsible for the accuracy of published information, the availability of the activity, any required professional qualifications or authorisations, safety, applicable insurance cover, prices, participation terms, cancellations and any refunds.

Before joining an activity, users must check information, availability, prices, terms and all other relevant details directly with the organiser.

    3. Events and information from public sources

Event dates, times, programmes, prices, venues and other details may change without notice. When information comes from public sources or third parties, Marcheggiando seeks to keep it up to date but cannot guarantee its completeness or currency at all times. Always check details with the official source or organiser before attending.

    4. Hiking, outdoor activities and safety

Outdoor routes, distances, difficulty ratings, times and descriptions are provided for information. Terrain, weather, accessibility, local orders, closures and actual difficulty may change. Before setting out, always check official sources, forecasts, trail conditions and equipment requirements, and assess your abilities.

Information published on Marcheggiando does not replace support from a professional guide, instructions from the competent authorities or your own assessment of safety conditions.

    5. Account and Community use

Users must provide accurate information, protect their credentials and use the service lawfully and respectfully. Illegal, misleading, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory or privacy-infringing content is prohibited, as are spam, impersonation, fraud, offers without the required authorisations and content infringing intellectual property or third-party rights.

    6. User-Uploaded Content

Users retain the rights to the content they publish. By publishing it, they grant Marcheggiando a non-exclusive, free licence limited to what is necessary to host, display, technically reproduce, resize or adapt it for display and promote it on the website and the Marcheggiando channels associated with its distribution.

The licence lasts for the time needed for publication and related promotion, without affecting uses already lawfully made. The user warrants that they hold the necessary rights to uploaded content and, where people are identifiable, the permissions required for publication.

    7. Images, copyright and third-party rights

Photographs, posters, text or other material copied from websites, social media or other sources may not be uploaded without a legal basis or a licence permitting use. An image being available online does not mean it can be freely reused.

Anyone who believes content infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights can use the page Report content.

    8. Moderation

Marcheggiando may restrict, remove or hide content and, in serious or repeated cases, restrict or suspend accounts where necessary to comply with the law, protect third-party rights, enforce these Terms or protect users and the service.

Moderation decisions are assessed fairly and proportionately. Where applicable and technically possible, the affected user is informed of the reasons for the decision and the available ways to request a review.

    9. Content reports

To report content you believe is unlawful or infringes rights, use the page Report content, specifying the content, the reason for the report and any information useful for assessing it.

    10. Service availability and liability

Marcheggiando strives to keep the service useful and up to date, but does not guarantee that the website will always be free from interruptions, errors or outdated information supplied by third parties. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

    11. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be updated as functionality, legislation or the way the service operates changes. The latest update date appears above. Significant changes may require registered users to acknowledge or accept the Terms again where necessary.

    12. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory rights granted to users and consumers by applicable legislation. Disputes are handled according to the jurisdiction rules established by law.
