Province of Ancona
Numana is an ancient Picene town overlooking the Conero, divided into 'Numana Alta' (the historic village) and 'Numana Bassa' (the port and beaches). Its beaches alternate between sand, gravel, and rocky stretches. The marina is the starting point for boat excursions to the Due Sorelle. The State Antiquarium preserves valuable Picene artifacts. The sunsets from the viewpoint of Numana Alta are unforgettable.

Numana's necropolises yielded extraordinary grave goods revealing the power of Picene elites and their Mediterranean contacts.

Tunnels, circular rooms, columns, religious symbols and spaces carved into sandstone: beneath this Conero village lies a parallel city.
