Province of Pesaro and Urbino

The Metauro river valley crosses the entire province from west to east, from the slopes of the Apennines to the sea in Fano. It is a landscape of hills cultivated with sunflowers, vines and olive trees, dotted with historic villages such as Mercatello sul Metauro, Sant'Angelo in Vado and Fossombrone. In summer, the sunflower fields create memorable photographic scenarios.
