Province of Pesaro and Urbino
The coast of Fano alternates between sandy beaches (Lido, Sassonia) and gravel beaches (Sassonia sud). The Lido beach, north of the port, is the widest and best equipped, with a tree-lined promenade. Sassonia, to the south, is famous for its smooth pebbles and for being the favorite beach of local fishermen. The Fano coast is a Blue Flag beach and hosts, in summer, the famous 'Passaggi' book festival.

From the search for a lost building to the official January 2026 announcement: the Piazza Andrea Costa discovery changes the story of Roman Fano.

From Fano to Ancona, Porto Recanati to San Benedetto: every coastal town has its own recipe. Brodetto fish stew is the culinary soul of the Marche.
