Province of Pesaro and Urbino
Fiorenzuola di Focara is a small pebble beach nestled between the highest cliffs of the Adriatic, in the heart of the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park. Mentioned by Dante in Canto XXVIII of the Inferno for its dangerous winds, it is only reachable via a path that descends from the medieval village above (about a 30-minute walk). The water is crystal clear and the environment wild, with sandstone cliffs that drop over 150 meters to the sea.
