Province of Ascoli Piceno
Monte Vettore (2,476 m) is the highest peak of the Sibillini Mountains National Park and one of the most imposing in the central Apennines. From the summit, on clear days, you can see the Adriatic Sea. The climb is challenging (EE) and requires experience, particularly the path that crosses the Cima del Redentore and the Forca delle Ciaule. On the western slopes opens the Pian Grande di Castelluccio (in Umbria), famous for its flowering.
