Village that preserves the Golden Bronzes from Cartoceto, the only gilded bronze sculptural group from the Roman era that has come down to us, and an old town rich in churches and palaces.
Founded in 1234 as a free commune, Pergola is famous for the Gilded Bronzes of Cartoceto di Pergola, dating back to the 1st century BC, the only example in the world of a gilded bronze sculptural group from the Roman era. The city preserves a rich heritage of churches and monasteries.
Pergola is a unique village: its Gilded Bronzes are a worldwide unicum, a treasure that alone would be worth the trip. But the village offers much more: a historic center where every church hides a work of art, and a food and wine tradition that culminates in the prized white truffle.

From Fano to Ancona, Porto Recanati to San Benedetto: every coastal town has its own recipe. Brodetto fish stew is the culinary soul of the Marche.

One of the Renaissance's greatest geniuses was born in Federico da Montefeltro's ducal city. Following in the footsteps of Raphael.
