Hilltop village in the Aso Valley with a museum complex that houses works by Carlo Crivelli and a landscape that has inspired generations of painters.
An ancient Piceno and then Roman center, Montefiore dell'Aso preserves in its Museum Complex a precious polyptych by Carlo Crivelli. The village was the birthplace of the painter Adolfo De Carolis, author of the decorations of the Vittoriano in Rome.
Montefiore is the village of art and light: its views of the Val d'Aso, with hills gently sloping towards the sea, have inspired artists of every era. The golden light of sunset transforms the landscape into a living painting.
