Village dominated by the imposing Rocca Roveresca designed by Francesco di Giorgio Martini, a masterpiece of Renaissance military architecture.
Strategic center of the Duchy of Urbino, Mondavio was fortified by the Della Rovere who commissioned Francesco di Giorgio Martini to build the famous Rocca, a masterpiece of military engineering never used in battle.
The Rocca di Mondavio is the paradox of useless perfection: designed as a perfect war machine, it was never besieged. Today it is a museum that tells the art of Renaissance warfare, while the village below lives in peace and beauty.

From Fano to Ancona, Porto Recanati to San Benedetto: every coastal town has its own recipe. Brodetto fish stew is the culinary soul of the Marche.

One of the Renaissance's greatest geniuses was born in Federico da Montefeltro's ducal city. Following in the footsteps of Raphael.
