Province of Fermo
Monterubbiano preserves intact medieval walls and a characteristic historic center. The Pagani Theater (1843) is one of the oldest in the Marche region. Every year the "Sciò La Pica" takes place, a unique Celtic spring festival in Italy, in which a tree is carried in procession. The Teatro dell'Aquila in Fermo, on the other hand, is the fourth largest theater in Italy by capacity (over 1,000 seats), an 18th-century jewel by Cosimo Morelli.
