Grottammare is called the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' for its dual soul: the medieval village perched on the hill (Grottammare Alta) with picturesque alleys and sea views, and the modern seaside resort with a palm-lined promenade and fragrant orange trees. Birthplace of Pope Sixtus V (Felice Peretti, 1521-1590). Fine sandy beaches, Blue Flag. Every summer it hosts 'Cabaret Amoremio'.
