Tiny medieval village with its unmistakable heptagonal tower, a jewel of the Val d'Aso where time seems to have stopped.
The Castrum Morisci first appears in a parchment from 1083. The castle was a strategic stronghold of the Municipality of Fermo in the war against Ascoli. In 1266 it was sold to the Doge of Venice Lorenzo Tiepolo. The 12th-century heptagonal tower, 25 meters high, is unique of its kind.
Amidst gardens and orchards to which the wind carries the scent of the sea, stands the fortified village of Moresco, enclosed by the profile of an heptagonal tower that looks like the bizarre prow of a ship beached on a hill. The castle seems like a sentinel guarding the countryside, the vine and olive cultivations that create a quiet and undulating landscape.
